Measuring Roman Ondak
2015; performance-based installation; dimensions variable

First exhibited in Yuki Okumura "Measuring Roman Ondak" at Misako & Rosen, Tokyo, 2015.
The photos below are installation shots of its second realization in the exhibition "Un-Scene III," WIELS, Brussels, 2015, curated by Devrim Bayer & Zoe Gray, where the wall label stated:
Over the course of the exhibition, Slovakian artist Roman Ondak (b. 1966) is the only potential participant/performer of this work. If you are him, please let an attendant know;
after confirming you are really him, they will mark your height on a blank wall somewhere in the exhibition, along with your first name "Roman" and the date on which
the measurement is taken. The procedure is the same as that of your participatory work Measuring the Universe (2007),except that in this work, you have lost the privileged
position of "the artist" and the general public is repositioned as a pure "viewer" (or, perhaps they participate through a form of non-participation).

During the exhibition, the book Roman Ondak: Measuring the Universe was specially featured at Motto @ Wiels.
